Multi-virtuoso guitarist Jaron Sebastian Raven started his musical career playing drums at the tender age of five. He took up composing after her mother gave him a flute for his ninth birthday, and by the age of 10 he had already played his first tunes on an electric guitar.
He made his first recordings with his own 4-track tape recorder, taping compositions that were extremely gloomy and expressive heavy metal pieces, even more so for a 15-year old boy. At the age of 18, Jaron recorded his first 4-song, 16-track EP master, on which he played drums, bass, guitars and keyboards.
After many years of working and performing as a solo artist, Jaron Sebastian Raven did finally find his band, under the moniker of Virtuocity. Virtuocity’s debut album “Secret Visions” displayed a chock-full array of melodic, classically inspired compositions, and included performances from such famed musicians as Marco Hietala of Tarot and Jaska Raatikainen of Children of Bodom.
After the release of “Secret Visions” Virtuocity’s lineup went through major changes. Jaron Sebastian Raven (guitar) and Peter James Goodman (vocals) finally found players that met their standards and musical ambitions and so Joey Edith (drums), Michael Thomas (keyboard) and Tom Joens (bass) were joined onto the ranks of Virtuocity.
The band’s second album Northern Twilight Symphony is a new page in Virtuocity's book, continuing where the last album ended. With strong, melodic metal, and with its new members the band is stronger than ever.
Neo-classical heavy metal has never sounded as good as it sounds in the hands of Virtuocity!
